Terms and Conditions

Document version: 2026-07-08

Platform owner

The OLAhome platform is developed and operated by OLA NETWORKS S.R.L., registered with the Bucharest Trade Register under no. J2026016637007, unique registration code 54239598, with registered office at Bulevardul Theodor Pallady No. 3, Sector 3, Bucharest, 032251, Romania.

Applicability

These terms apply to the website olahome.eu, its subdomains, administration pages and interfaces, and the services operated under the OLAhome brand, including OLAcloud, OLAcloud Multi-user, OLA Vault, OLAhome DNS, DNS Corporate and Internet Guard.

In some situations, the website may contain references to pages, platforms or services operated by third parties, which may be subject to additional terms, separate privacy policies or specific technical requirements.

The use of OLAhome services may also involve third-party services, such as payment processors, software infrastructure providers, open-source applications, email services, SMS services or other components required for the platform to operate. These components may also be subject to their own terms.

By accessing or using any OLAhome service, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted these terms.

1. Description of services

OLAhome provides private digital services focused on privacy, security and user control:

  • OLAcloud – private cloud space for files, documents, photos, online collaboration, web access and WebDAV;
  • OLAcloud Multi-user – additional users for companies and teams, who can work in the company shared space;
  • OLA Vault – private password manager with a dedicated instance and end-to-end encryption;
  • OLAhome DNS – DNS filtering for ads, tracking, dangerous domains and unwanted content;
  • DNS Corporate – DNS packages for companies, with several DNS profiles configurable across platforms;
  • Internet Guard – add-on service for OLAhome DNS that allows custom blocking rules per DNS.

Available features may evolve over time depending on platform development, technical requirements, the required security level and changes to integrated services.

2. Account creation and identification

To activate and provide OLAhome services, we may request the data required depending on the purchased service, the payment process, the account type and applicable legal or tax obligations.

This data may include, as applicable, email address, phone number, the name provided in the payment process, billing data, country, locality, billing address, company details, tax identifier, company name, contact person or other information required to activate the services.

OLAhome does not request more data than necessary for service activation, payment processing, issuing tax documents, account security, verification of sensitive operations and maintaining the infrastructure.

The user is responsible for providing accurate and up-to-date data. If the data submitted is incorrect, incomplete or does not allow service activation or delivery, OLAhome may delay, limit or refuse activation until the situation is clarified.

3. Personal accounts and company accounts

OLAhome accounts may be created as personal accounts or company accounts, depending on how the user intends to use the services.

For company accounts, the person creating the account confirms that they are entitled to represent the company or that they have the company's approval to create the account, activate the services and accept these terms.

The company is responsible for invited users, employees, collaborators, additional user accounts, data entered into shared spaces and the way the services are used within the organization.

4. Account security

The user is responsible for keeping confidential the authentication data associated with their OLAhome account and the services activated through it.

Any activity performed through the account is deemed to have been performed by the account holder, unless the account holder notifies OLAhome about compromised access.

For certain sensitive operations, such as changing the password, enabling or managing 2FA, closing a subscription, deleting the account or other administrative actions, OLAhome may require additional confirmation by SMS code, password or other verification methods.

If there is any suspicion of unauthorized access, the user must immediately change the password and contact OLAhome.

5. Payments, subscriptions and electronic delivery

Payments are processed through external platforms such as Stripe. OLAhome does not have access to the user's full card details.

During the payment process, contact and billing data may be collected to complete the transaction, issue tax documents, verify the payment and comply with applicable legal obligations.

OLAhome services are provided exclusively in electronic format and do not involve delivery of physical products.

Subscriptions may be cancelled at any time by the user from the OLAhome account, where this feature is available, or by contacting OLAhome.

Cancelling a subscription stops future renewals. The service remains active until the end of the already paid period, except in cases of suspension for abuse, breach of terms or technical or legal reasons.

Amounts already paid for the current billing period are not refundable in whole or in part, unless applicable law provides otherwise.

This rule applies to all OLAhome subscriptions, including OLAcloud, OLAcloud Multi-user, OLA Vault, OLAhome DNS, DNS Corporate and Internet Guard.

6. OLAcloud

OLAcloud provides private space for storing and managing files, web access, compatible applications and online collaboration.

OLAhome implements technical measures for the protection of data and infrastructure, including active encryption mechanisms, antivirus protections, anti-ransomware measures, versioning, trash bin and technical backup mechanisms, where available and applicable.

These measures are intended to reduce risks and limit the effects of an incident to the affected account. For example, if a user's device is compromised and synchronizes modified, encrypted or ransomware-affected files into OLAcloud, the incident remains limited to the rights of that account.

However, the user remains responsible for the security of their own devices, passwords, uploaded files and for keeping additional copies of critical data.

7. OLAcloud Multi-user

OLAcloud Multi-user allows the account holder to add additional users to the same OLAcloud service. The service may be used by individuals, for example for family or personal collaboration, and by companies, for employees, collaborators or teams.

The number of additional users may be selected in the Stripe payment page or through other flows made available by OLAhome. After payment confirmation or confirmation of the usage right, additional users may receive their own OLAcloud account and may work in shared spaces configured by the main account holder.

Files created or uploaded by additional users in shared folders may consume the storage of the main account. Depending on the technical configuration of the service, additional users may have limited or zero individual quota, with the purpose of keeping the main storage centrally administered by the account holder.

The account holder is responsible for adding, verifying, managing and removing additional users created through the account. If the service is used by a company for employees, collaborators or other persons, the company is responsible for informing them and for using the service in accordance with applicable law and the DPA section of these terms.

OLAhome may refuse or delay the creation of an additional user if the submitted data is invalid, incomplete, duplicate, abusive or creates risks for platform security.

8. OLAcloud plan changes (upgrade / downgrade)

Users of OLAcloud may change the storage plan directly from the account administration page, within the available options.

Plan upgrade

Upgrading to a higher plan may be performed at any time. After payment confirmation, the new plan becomes active immediately and the storage limit of the account is updated automatically.

If the plan is changed during an already started billing period:

  • the remaining period of the previous plan is not recalculated;
  • amounts already paid are not refunded;
  • the new plan becomes active immediately after payment confirmation.

Plan downgrade

Downgrading to a lower plan is allowed only if the storage used in the account is less than or equal to the limit of the selected plan.

If the used storage exceeds the lower plan limit, the system will not allow the downgrade until usage is reduced below the relevant limit.

OLAhome reserves the right to temporarily limit plan changes in case of maintenance, temporary network service unavailability, payment errors, security checks or other technical events outside the operator's direct control.

9. Backup, versioning and responsibility for content

OLAhome may include technical backup, versioning, trash bin and other protection mechanisms at infrastructure or application level.

These mechanisms are additional protective measures and do not replace the user's responsibility to keep their own backups for data considered important or critical.

Backups automatically reflect the state of the data existing in the user's account at the time of backup. If the user uploads or synchronizes files already affected by malware, ransomware, corruption or other compromise originating from their own device, those files may reach the backup or version history in the same state.

OLAhome does not guarantee full data recovery in every situation. Recovery depends on available mechanisms, version history, existing backups, the time of the incident and the account state.

10. OLA Vault and master password

OLA Vault uses end-to-end encryption mechanisms that prevent OLAhome from accessing users' stored passwords.

OLAhome cannot view user passwords and cannot recover a forgotten master password. The user is responsible for keeping the master password and their own recovery methods, where available.

To protect against accidental deletion or technical issues, OLA Vault may benefit from rotating backups within the available copies for that instance.

Vault restoration may be possible only within the available backups and technical conditions existing at the time of the request. OLAhome may limit the number of restores within a given period to protect the infrastructure and prevent abuse.

Restoring a backup may replace the current state of the Vault with the state existing at the selected backup time.

11. OLAhome DNS

OLAhome DNS uses filtering mechanisms based on security rules, specialized filters, configurations developed by OLAhome and encrypted DNS infrastructure.

OLAhome DNS may filter ads, tracking, malicious domains, phishing, scams, unwanted content or other domain categories, depending on the active rules and the plan used.

Although OLAhome constantly works to improve protection, the service does not guarantee blocking of all ads, malicious domains, phishing attempts, scams or other internet threats.

OLAhome DNS is not a substitute for antivirus, firewall, security updates or other protective measures implemented on the user's devices.

12. DNS Corporate

DNS Corporate is intended for companies or teams that need several centrally managed DNS profiles. Corporate packages may include quantity ranges, for example 10–30 DNS profiles or 31–50 DNS profiles, depending on the available offer.

The final number of DNS profiles may be selected in the Stripe payment page or in another payment flow made available by OLAhome. After payment confirmation, DNS profiles may be configured from the account, manually or automatically generated.

The company account administrator is responsible for the use of DNS profiles by employees, collaborators or company devices and for compliance with these terms.

13. Internet Guard

Internet Guard is an add-on service for OLAhome DNS, available for accounts with at least one active DNS profile, depending on the plan and account configuration.

Through Internet Guard, the user may add blocking rules per DNS, using domains or keywords such as social networks, games, applications, adult websites or other domains selected by the user.

Internet Guard works at DNS level. If the user enters a full link, the system may save and apply the rule at the main domain level. Blocking an exact page inside a website is not guaranteed at DNS level.

OLAhome does not guarantee that Internet Guard can block every application, website, service, content or access method. The effectiveness of rules may be affected by VPNs, proxies, mobile networks, applications using their own infrastructure, shared domains, dynamic IPs or other technical mechanisms.

14. Technical logs, DNS operation and usage limits

For OLAhome DNS, DNS Corporate and Internet Guard, OLAhome may temporarily store technical information required for security, diagnosis, abuse limitation, rule enforcement and service operation.

This information may include, as applicable:

  • the active DNS profile or DNS name used;
  • the device IP or IPs associated with a DNS profile;
  • domains, SNIs or technical events required to apply filters;
  • active or removed Internet Guard rules;
  • blocking, unblocking, limitation or security events;
  • information regarding generation and download of configurations for devices.

This data is used for service operation, protection, security, abuse limitation, DNS rule enforcement and technical support. It is not used for commercial profiling, advertising tracking or sale to third parties.

To protect the service against unauthorized use, each DNS may have a limit of unique associated IPs. Currently, the standard limit is 6 unique IPs per DNS, unless another limit is indicated in the offer, account or plan.

Exceeding the IP limit, using an invented DNS, sharing the DNS with unauthorized persons or using the service outside the purchased plan may lead to restriction or blocking of that DNS.

15. Business accounts, company data and DPA

This section applies especially to company accounts, Business accounts, company use of OLAcloud Multi-user, DNS Corporate and any situation in which a company uses OLAhome for employees, collaborators, customers, internal documents or other data entered by the company.

For data required to administer the OLAhome account, payments, billing, security, communications, SMS checks, abuse prevention and contractual records, OLAhome acts as data controller.

For content, files, documents, additional user accounts, employee data, collaborator data or other information entered by the company into Business services, the company determines the purposes and means of processing. In this area, the company is the data controller and OLAhome may act as processor to the extent that it stores, hosts, secures, backs up, restores or technically operates the services on behalf of the company.

The fact that certain data is encrypted and cannot be read by OLAhome does not remove the technical nature of storage, hosting, backup, deletion or restoration operations. Encryption limits access to content and is an important security measure, but the company remains responsible for the data it decides to enter into the services.

This section constitutes the data processing agreement for Business accounts to the extent applicable law requires such an agreement between the company and OLAhome.

Subject matter and duration of processing: provision of OLAhome services to the company, for the duration of the account, active services and, where applicable, the period necessary for backups, technical retention, legal obligations, contractual records and defense of OLAhome rights.

Nature and purpose of processing: account creation, resource allocation, storage, synchronization, access, backup, restoration, security, DNS filtering, technical support, diagnosis, abuse prevention and administration of services ordered by the company.

Categories of data: account data, contact data, company data, additional user data, technical identifiers, IPs, metadata required for operation, files or content uploaded by the company, DNS data and other information entered or generated through the use of services.

Categories of data subjects: company representatives, employees, collaborators, additional users, customers or other persons whose data is entered by the company into OLAhome services.

OLAhome, as processor for Business data, will:

  • process data only to provide the contracted services and according to the company's reasonable instructions;
  • maintain appropriate technical and organizational measures, including access control, logical separation, encryption where available, backups, monitoring and security protections;
  • limit access by staff or collaborators to the information strictly necessary to operate, secure or support the services;
  • not use company content for commercial profiling, advertising tracking or sale to third parties;
  • assist the company, as reasonably and technically possible, with requests for access, rectification, deletion or export of data;
  • notify the company within a reasonable time if OLAhome becomes aware of a security incident affecting company data;
  • delete or return company data upon service termination, as technically possible and subject to backup periods, legal retention or contractual records;
  • use third-party providers necessary for the services, such as payment processors, infrastructure, email, SMS, software or technical services, only for service operation.

The company is responsible for having a legal basis for the data entered into OLAhome, informing data subjects, managing their rights and not uploading data or content for which it does not have a legal right to process.

If the company enters sensitive data, special categories of data or high-risk information, it does so at its own responsibility and must ensure that the use of the service is appropriate to its purpose, risks and legal obligations.

16. Account deletion and minimal retained history

The user may request or initiate deletion of the OLAhome account if there are no active services preventing deletion. For security reasons, account deletion may require password and SMS code confirmation.

Deleting the account removes it from the active area and allows the email address and phone number to be reused for a future registration, to the extent there are no other applicable legal or technical blocks.

For contractual records, security, abuse prevention, evidence of consent and defense of OLAhome rights, after account deletion a minimal history may be retained, such as email, phone number, account type, language, creation date, deletion date, deletion reason, accepted consents and information about previously held services.

OLAhome does not keep the password, password hash, 2FA secrets, SMS codes or SMS message content in the deleted account history. The history is retained only to the extent necessary for the purposes above and for the period indicated in the Privacy Policy or internal retention systems.

17. Service availability and force majeure

OLAhome services are provided on a best-effort basis, with the objective of ensuring a high level of availability and continuity. However, OLAhome does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Temporary interruptions may be caused by:

  • planned or unplanned maintenance;
  • hardware or software failures;
  • power outages;
  • internet connection interruptions;
  • issues affecting third-party service providers;
  • data center issues;
  • cyberattacks;
  • force majeure events;
  • other situations outside OLAhome's reasonable control.

OLAhome cannot be held responsible for unavailability, delays or losses resulting from such events.

18. Limitation of liability

OLAhome makes reasonable efforts to maintain the operation and security of the services provided. Use of OLAhome services is at the user's own risk.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, OLAhome cannot be held liable for data loss, financial loss, commercial loss, business interruption, inability to access services, incorrect configuration by the user or other damages resulting from the use or inability to use the services.

19. Fair use and prohibited files

To protect the security, integrity and stability of the OLAhome infrastructure, certain types of files are considered prohibited and may not be stored, synchronized or distributed through OLAhome services.

These files may be blocked, automatically removed or deleted without prior notice if detected in the user's storage space.

Examples of prohibited extensions include, without limitation:

  • executable and installer files (.exe, .msi, .com, .scr);
  • scripts and automation files (.bat, .cmd, .ps1, .vbs, .js, .py, .sh);
  • system or configuration files with dangerous potential (.dll, .reg, .cpl);
  • documents with active macros (.docm, .xlsm, .pptm);
  • archives or other files containing the above file types;
  • other file types that may affect the security of the services or other users.

Using OLAhome services for intensive P2P / torrent traffic or for distributing, downloading or sharing copyrighted content without legal right is strictly prohibited.

It is prohibited to use OLAhome services to distribute malware, ransomware or other malicious software, perform fraudulent or illegal activities, store or distribute content prohibited by applicable law, infringe copyright, conduct cyberattacks, unauthorized scanning or activities affecting infrastructure security.

If usage patterns indicating a breach of these rules are detected, OLAhome reserves the right to temporarily or permanently suspend the account, service, DNS, Vault or access to certain features without being required to provide additional technical details.

Permanent suspension may result in termination of the subscription contract associated with OLAhome services. In this case, amounts paid for the remaining unused period are not refundable.

20. Personal data protection

Additional information about personal data, processing purposes, retention periods, user rights and contact methods is available in the Privacy Policy.

Exercising the right to delete personal data associated with the account may make it impossible to continue providing OLAhome services. In this case, the subscription contract may be terminated and access to services may be disabled.

Termination of the subscription as a result of a data deletion request does not give the right to a refund for the remaining unused period, unless applicable law provides otherwise.

21. Complaints, alternative dispute resolution and governing law

These terms and conditions are governed by Romanian law.

For any complaint related to OLAhome services, the user may first contact us directly using the contact details published on the website, in order to try to resolve the matter amicably.

If an amicable resolution is not possible, consumers may use the alternative dispute resolution mechanisms made available through the Romanian National Authority for Consumer Protection — ADR/SAL.

The SAL electronic platform can be accessed here: https://reclamatiisal.anpc.ro

OLAhome will review complaints in good faith and cooperate, within the limits of the law, with competent authorities and legal dispute resolution mechanisms.

If the dispute cannot be resolved amicably or through alternative mechanisms, jurisdiction belongs to the competent Romanian courts, according to applicable law.

22. Changes to the terms

OLAhome reserves the right to change these terms. The updated version will be published on the website.

The user is responsible for periodically consulting this page to become aware of any changes. Continued use of OLAhome services after publication of changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.
